Our Learning

Environment

NIDA is committed to providing a creative environment that is inclusive, encouraging and safe for students.

Our courses allow beginner, emerging and established artists to explore and develop their unique creative potential under the guidance and leadership of our experienced and appropriately trained staff and tutors.

We provide this environment by:

  • Maintaining a NIDA Child Safe Policy. This policy is supported by best practice procedure and is reviewed regularly.
  • Clearly defining what students and families can expect from their experience in our programs through NIDA’s Values and Expectations and our Enrolment Terms & Conditions
  • Employing appropriately trained and experienced industry professionals with a passion for teaching.
  • Ensuring all staff in child related employment hold a relevant Working With Children Check or equivalent police background check.
  • Providing ongoing training to all management, administrative and teaching staff through regular professional development.

NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal, Gadigal, Dharawal and Dharug peoples, and we pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.
