Young Actors Studio 15-18 Years – Audition

Discover. Create. Transform.

Develop your vocal, physical and imaginative dexterity as you explore and apply NIDA acting techniques. Collaborate with other young artists in an ensemble to develop skills for stage and screen. Work with the support and direction from core tutors and gain inspiration from industry professionals.

Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane

Develop skills in improvisation, action-based acting technique and stagecraft. Extend vocal range and flexibility. Collaborate as an ensemble to rehearse and produce a collaborative presentation employing a variety of texts including poetry and spoken word.

Explore and employ movement techniques to develop physical presence and build stamina for performance. Consider the physical aspect of characterisation; prepare and present classical, heightened language and contemporary text work.

Learn and apply audition techniques and processes through the preparation and presentation of monologues. Collaborate as a member of an ensemble to devise an original contemporary work. Understand how to employ various production elements to enhance your work. Perform your original work to an invited audience.

Apply acting techniques to scene work for camera – rehearse and shoot challenging scenes. Hone your skills for the industry as you participate in simulated screen tests and casting sessions.

Course Fees

The course fee is $4,440. This is payable in four instalments across the year or upfront with a 10% discount ($3,996).

Prerequisites

Entry to the Young Actors Studio is by audition only. Detailed audition information will be sent via downloadable link upon enrolment.
