Overview

Get ready to dazzle in this magical 3-day musical theatre course inspired by beloved musicals including Frozen, Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. 

Discover the enchantment of musical theatre as you explore singing and storytelling techniques, develop vocal and physical skills, build confidence, and create unforgettable characters. Enhance your improvisation skills and acting technique while collaborating with fellow young performers. 

Taught by our NIDA Open teaching artists who bring their creative expertise and industry experience to the classroom, you’ll explore performance skills in a vibrant and supportive environment. Step into the spotlight and let your inner star shine in this enchanting mini-musical adventure! 

Components

  • Voice and Song: Develop confidence singing in front of a live audience. 
  • Characters: Experiment with vocal and physical expression to create a character for performance inspired by a musical theatre story. 
  • Performance and Collaboration: Work as part of a team to develop a short ensemble singing and acting presentation. 

Prerequisites

This course is designed for children who attend full time school (VIC Prep equivalent). If your child is not yet enrolled in full time, formal schooling, please see our selection of Creative Play courses designed for pre-school children.
