Overview
For students who have completed Screen Acting Techniques (or equivalent.) Screen Acting Techniques 2 offers a comprehensive approach to developing your on-screen performance skills. Designed for actors seeking to refine their craft, this course explores the nuances of advanced scene analysis and performance techniques specific to film and television.
Engage in masterclass-style workshops where you will explore a range of contrasting scenes from both film and TV, honing your ability to deliver detailed and authentic performances. You will develop a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of screen acting and gain insight into industry expectations, including how to approach a screen test, improvisation and vocal technique for screen.
Guided by our experienced NIDA Open teaching artists, you’ll explore the complexities of on-screen acting in a collaborative learning environment which encourages creative exploration and skill development. Join us to discover the joy of performance, while building a strong practice in screen acting technique, at the home of Australia’s national dramatic arts school.

Prerequisites
This course is classified as Applied Techniques. You need to have completed Screen Acting Techniques or an equivalent course. You should be familiar with the basic language of the Stanislavski acting system and scene analysis.
