Overview

Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango? Channel your inner rock star! Inspired by movie epics including Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman and A Star is Born, learn iconic songs and develop your own dynamic performances. Work with a NIDA Open musical theatre expert to develop your singing technique and stage presence, engage in movement and choreography workshops and explore acting techniques to create believable characters. Share your newfound skills with family and friends at the end of the course.

Components

• Vocal: Learn how the voice works and develop confidence with singing technique
• Text interpretation: Bring to life through the application of acting technique a musical theatre song text.
• Staging: Consider staging techniques and learn musical performance stagecraft.
• Performance: Apply acting and singing practice to a short, devised musical presentation.
