Overview
Welcome to NIDAWarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (and acting)! Explore voice and movement and NIDA acting techniques to create your own witch or wizard character. Dive into well-known scripts from popular films and learn the art of rehearsing and filming scenes for the camera.
Taught by our experienced NIDA Open teaching artists, students will build confidence and screen acting skills through engaging, practical exercises. Cast your spell and captivate audiences in this magical screen acting course!
Components
- Technique: Practice acting to camera techniques. Discover the difference between live and recorded performance craft.
- Character Development: Develop and record a character from a scripted scene.
- Text interpretation: Bring to life through the application of NIDA acting technique a short, written text for live and recorded performance.
