Overview
For students who have successfully completed the NIDA Acting Techniques course (or equivalent.) Develop your existing skills and create a deeper understanding of your creative instincts. NIDA Acting Techniques 2 is designed to guide you through a variety of approaches to develop vivid, fully embodied characters. Engage in rigorous exercises that challenge you to explore character arcs and discover new depths in your acting abilities.
Throughout this course you will work intensively with a selected play text, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the nuances of character development and the essential role of status dynamics. You’ll learn to navigate complex creative stimuli and enhance your awareness of collaborative ensemble work. Additionally, you will develop the skills to independently analyse and interpret scripted material, honing your ability to bring characters to life with authenticity and depth.
Under the mentorship of an experienced NIDA Open teaching artist, you will thrive in a supportive and encouraging learning atmosphere. This course is designed to empower you to unleash your creative potential and excel in your acting journey.

Prerequisites
This course is classified as Applied Techniques. Students must have completed NIDA Acting Techniques (or equivalent). You should be familiar with the basic language of the Stanislavski system.
