Overview

Dive into the thrilling world of Found Footage Horror with our hands-on, week-long filmmaking course! Work with NIDA Open experts to create your very own paranormal found footage documentary. Craft and develop spine-chilling stories, then bring them to life using collage and documentary filmmaking, including jump scares, hand-held and point-of-view shooting. 

Join a welcoming and collaborative environment designed to nurture young filmmakers and artists. Explore creative development, directing, acting, and basic editing, then receive a copy of your terrifying film to share with family and friends.  

Components

  • Extending vocal techniques with a variety of short texts
  • Acting Technique: Explore characterisation and build technical skills through improvisation and the application of NIDA acting technique to an on-screen performance. 
  • Production: Gain an understanding of various creative and production roles including camera operator, producer, writer and actor. 
  • Filmmaking: Develop rehearse and produce a short film 
  • Post-production: Apply editing techniques to best enhance your film footage.
