Acting Boot Camp, Grades 11-12

Overview

Unlock your ultimate acting adventure with NIDA Open’s Acting Boot Camp. Dive into a dynamic, high-energy course that explores fundamental acting techniques including improvisation, character development, and text analysis.  

Taught by our experienced teaching artists, you will build self-confidence and stagecraft skills through exciting exercises and ensemble-centred training while enhancing teamwork, imagination, and self-expression. Join a welcoming and collaborative environment designed to nurture young performers and artists and experience the magic of NIDA Open classrooms. 

Components

  • Improvisation: Discover the key principles and improve your spontaneity as a performer. 
  • Characterisation: Participate in practical exercises under the guidance of an industry expert designed to provide you with tools to create diverse character depictions. 
  • Technique: Explore NIDA’s acting technique to identify the given circumstances of your scene, apply actions and pinpoint your character’s objective with ease.
